Kevin DiLibero

Culinary Arts Director, Papa Razzi Metro

Culinary Arts Director, Kevin DiLibero brings over 11 years of culinary experience to the Metro team, where he blends his knowledge and appreciation for beautiful food done simply to create menus that showcase authentic Italian flavors and technique. “The excitement for me is the simplicity and the ingredients. Italians live off the land, and that’s a beautiful way to live.” Chef DiLibero’s passion for freshness and authenticity led him to Los Angeles, California where he trained with VPN Americas, the American Delegation of the Associazione Vera Pizza Napolenta, earning a certificate in Neapolitan-style pizza making. Chef DiLibero’s certification marks Metro as being one of the only certified
Neapolitan pizza restaurants in Massachusetts.

Chef DiLibero’s love of traditional Italian cooking deepened while attending culinary school at the Florida Culinary Institute, where he was introduced to his mentor Capri-native Raffaele Santrapaia. Watching his mentor make everything from scratch on a daily basis solidified Chef DiLibero’s passion for scratch cooking, as well as engrained in him values that he carries with him to this day. After working with Santrapaia for two years, Chef DiLibero continued to hone his skills as a chef in numerous establishments including an opening Executive Chef position at Pane e Vino in Federal Hill, Providence’s historic Italian neighborhood, and as Executive Chef of Waterman Grille where he was able to flex his creative muscles executing dishes that showcased the diversity of Providence. Keeping within the Newport Restaurant Group family, Chef DiLibero gained additional experience running the kitchen operations at 22 Bowen’s and Trio.

Chef DiLibero’s love for his craft resonates in every facet of Metro, as he strives to ensure that the Italian philosophies instilled within the restaurant span beyond the plate to create an all-inclusive experience that guests can take away with them. When he’s not with his work family, DiLibero spends his spare time reading cookbooks, being outdoors, and spending time with his wife and two boxers.
